A recent poll revealed that a majority of Germans want to continue their work digitally.

The poll, conducted by the “Forsa” institute for measuring opinion indicators, and its results were published today, Tuesday, showed that 51% of Germans over 18 years old said that they would continue to benefit from working at home and holding video conferencing even after the end of the Corona pandemic.

The survey, which was conducted within the framework of the “Germany – Country of Ideas” initiative commissioned by the Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, indicated that 71% of those aged between 30 and 44 years stated that they intend to continue working digitally.

The survey was conducted on the occasion of awarding this year’s Mobility Prize.

As for private lives, one-fifth of those surveyed said they intended to continue meeting friends digitally.

The survey organizers also wanted to know whether German citizens would be willing to disclose data about their commute behaviour.

The survey found that the desire to do so is generally higher among men (41%) than women (35%).

The survey indicated that the availability of accurate data on the timings of buses, trains and trams is important for three out of every five respondents.

Young people are mainly concerned with the quality of local public transport.

In contrast, the majority of 30-44 year olds are waiting for better guidance on free parking spaces
