FIFA 22: Huge Career Mode News Reveals Players Will Be Able To … Mon, 12 Jul 2021 00:00:00 +0100-FIFA 22 has announced in a release trailer that it will use 'HyperMotion technology'
EA Sports has finally released the first official trailer for FIFA 22 and it's looking like it'll introduce the best performance in a FIFA game yet.
The game has been announced by EA Sports to be due for release October 1 this year.
What's interesting about FIFA 22 is the utilisation of HyperMotion technology – but what is it?
Not many details have been given on the ins and outs of HyerMotion technology, however, it's core features can be revealed by examining the official trailer.
HyperMotion is a new gameplay technology that will drastically improve FIFA 22's graphics, AI system and aerial duels.
Because it's only available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Stradia, it's likely that HyperMotion needs a lot of power to run efficiently.
It uses a combination of real-time motion capture and machine learning to successfully emulate the unique play-style of different professional football players.
Twenty two professional football players wore Xsens suits in the FIFA 22 trailer to record an “unprecedented volume of high-quality real-human movement data.”
These Xsens suits apparently “record every touch, tackle, sprint and duel from all 22 players playing at high intensity for the first time ever.”
According to EA's website, FIFA 22 uses “a cutting-edge proprietary machine learning algorithm” which learns from over 8.7 million frames of capture footage, and creates new animations in real time to create “organic football realism.”
Because of this ground-breaking technology, FIFA 22 will feature 4,000 new animations which will improve the responsiveness of the game.
When attacking in game, players should be able to make “6x more decisions per second” as attackers are given more special awareness and tactility.
Aerial duels will also see a major improvement in interactivity via HyperMotion which will make controlling the ball feel more natural and fluid.
FIFA 22 can be pre-ordered now on the PlayStation Store for £89.99.
