‘Chicago Med’s Torrey DeVitto steps out with Chicago Cubs manager David Ross: ‘Love him madly’

“Chicago Med” star Torrey DeVitto is keeping it hometown, making her relationship with Chicago Cubs manager David Ross Instagram official on Saturday.

DeVitto, who plays emergency pediatrics specialist Dr. Natalie Manning on the Chicago-based NBC drama, confirmed the news on Instagram, posting a Ross-taken smooch selfie — kissing his cheek in the black-and-white photo.

“Love him madly,” she wrote with a red heart emoji. Ross, 44, liked the photo via his Instagram account.

The actress, 36, had previously teased the news of the relationship last week after attending a Cubs game in Cincinnati against the Reds. In an Instagram gallery of Cincinnati sights, DeVitto included a final photo of Ross taken from prime seats behind the dugout, drawing a squiggly red heart around his head. She included the hashtag #SaveTheBestForLast.

The former MLB catcher and Cubs World Series hero Ross, 44, ensured he will never have to pay for a drink again in Chicago after hitting a Game 7 World Series home run against the Cleveland Indians in 2016. At 39, the Bull Durham-esque journeyman was the oldest player to hit a Game 7 dinger in World Series history. The Cubs went on to win the game 8-7 in 10 innings and the series.

Ross followed the ticket tape to  “Dancing With the Stars” in 2017. With his 23-year-old pro partner, Lindsay Arnold, the couple improbably finished runner-up in the entire dance competition. Ross is divorced from his high school sweetheart, Hyla Ross, with whom he has three children.

Born and raised in Huntington, N.Y., DeVitto is best known for her recurring TV roles, including Melissa Hastings in “Pretty Little Liars” (2010-17), Dr. Meredith Fell in the CW drama “The Vampire Diaries” and as Carrie in the CW drama “One Tree Hill.” In 2013, she was seen as Maggie Hall in the final season of Lifetime’s “Army Wives.”

On “Chicago Med,”  Dr. Natalie Manning is single after moving on from her complicated relationship with Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss).

DeVitto's representatives have not commented further on the posting.

Love is in the air for Cubs manager David Ross and “Chicago Med” star Torrey DeVitto.

DeVitto made their relationship Instagram official on Sunday, posting a photo of the two with the caption “Love him madly.”

The black-and-white picture shows DeVitto kissing Ross on the cheek.

The actress, who plays Dr. Natalie Manning in the Chicago-set medical drama, previously teased the news of their romance last week, posting multiple photos from Cincinnati on May 2. The final image was a picture from behind the dugout at the Cubs game against the Reds, with a red heart drawn around Ross' head.

DeVitto, 36, captioned the pictures “#cincinnati sights. #SaveTheBestForLast” with a heart eyes emoji.

When actor Brant Daugherty – who starred alongside DeVitto in “Pretty Little Liars” – commented on last week's post to ask why she was in his hometown, DeVitto responded, “my boyfriends team was playing in Cincinnati this weekend!”

Ross, 44, was tapped to manage the Cubs ahead of the 2020 season. Affectionately known as “Grandpa Rossy,” the retired catcher was part of the Cubs team that won the World Series championship in 2016.

He played for several teams over 15 seasons in Major League Baseball, winning a previous World Series title with the Boston Red Sox in 2013. He retired after the 2016 season and competed on “Dancing With the Stars” the following year, coming in second place with professional dance partner Lindsay Arnold.

Both Ross and DeVitto were previously married. Ross was married to his high school sweetheart Hyla Ross, with whom he shares three children, from 2005 until his divorce was finalized last year, according to multiple reports. DeVitto and her former husband, “Killer Movie” costar Paul Wesley, were married from 2011 to 2013.
