Jake Paul has not been well received by the MMA community after knocking out ex-UFC star Ben Askren in a boxing fight earlier this month

Jake Paul has not been well received by the MMA community after knocking out ex-UFC star Ben Askren in a boxing fight earlier this month.
The YouTuber turned professional boxer turned up at UFC 261 on Saturday night despite all the bad blood he has with UFC president Dana White and his outspoken views against a number of people in the organisation.
White said he would lay down $1 million that Askren would defeat Paul, but of course he would be proved wrong.
White has since insisted he didn’t end up making any bets but Paul and Snoop Dogg have both requested he pay out nonetheless.
The sellout crowd for UFC 261 at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida let Paul know exactly how they felt about him as he made his way to his seat at the end of the prelims. The arena’s chant flooded UFC’s commentary and Joe Rogan acknowledged it.
“I found out what the chant was, it was ‘F Jake Paul’. That’s what they were all yelling out,” Rogan said.

Meanwhile, former UFC champion Daniel Cormier – who was on commentary duty at UFC 261 – confronted Paul in his seat.
Paul had the audacity to challenge Cormier and call him ‘fat boy’ after he defeated Askren.
Cormier has said he wouldn’t fight Paul because he wouldn’t lower himself to it, but he maintains he would ‘kill him’ and he told Paul the same at UFC 261.
Alongside Rogan on commentary, Cormier said: “I swear to god I just saw Jake Paul, I pointed at him and I said ‘don’t play with me,’ because I’ll smack him in the face. He’s right there. I don’t play those games, Joe.”“This dude would never fight me,” Cormier told ESPN (transcription via Bad Left Hook). “I would kill him. Why would I ever fight someone like that?
“But my immediate reaction was, ‘I can’t stand this kid.’ So it works! I can’t stand this kid! But who punches down? You don’t punch down to somebody. I’m the guy that’s in the Hall of Fame. I’m the guy that won two world championships at the same time.
“I’m not gonna punch down to some kid that’s on YouTube that’s, like, ‘Fight me!’ Like, why? What have you done to earn the right to fight me?
“So, no, it’s silly and stupid. But I would like him to fight Tyron. I would like to see him fight somebody more real. Don’t fight Ben Askren at 190, bloated,” Cormier said.
Daniel Cormier online “Imma Smack Jake Paul when I see him”Daniel Cormier in person…
Dana White reacted to Paul’s presence at his post-fight press conference: “This kid’s done a good job of putting himself in a place to make some money.
“Good for him, he’s got you guys talking about him all the time, asking questions about him, got Daniel Cormier running after him, so he’s doing something right.
“He knocked out an NBA guy who was 40 years old and 30lbs less than him and I don’t even know what do think about the Askren thing.
“The whole thing is f***ing mind boggling to me, but good for him, grab that money while you can kid.”
Following his KO of Askren, Jake claimed the fight did 1.5million PPV buys on Triller and so generated $75million.
The UFC president is sceptical to say the least.
When asked if he’d ever do business with Jake by a reporter who said ‘the numbers are there’, Dana replied: “The numbers are there?
“Nah, I don’t know if the numbers are there.
“Do you even know what would happen to this guy? He ain’t fighting in the UFC.
“You’re getting me talking about this f***ing guy again!
FUCK JAKE PAUL
“You’re getting hand-picked opponents and God knows what else is going on with that whole f***ing thing.
“There is a market for that. That’s not what I do.
“People wanna see that, this kid’s gonna make a couple bucks before this ride’s over, and it’s just not what I do.
“And the numbers that you’re hearing that they did are full of s***, they’re full of s***.
“They didn’t pull those kind of numbers at all, not even f***ing close.”
He continued: “I don’t believe anything they say, that’s a f***ing circus.
“None of that’s real. You think any of that s*** that’s going on over there is real? Come on man.
“I built a real business here, a real sport. That’s a freak show.”
