Alan Jackson returned to the ACM Awards stage on Sunday evening with a performance that fans won’t soon forget. The 19-time ACM Award winner delivered a stunning performance of his just-released track “You’ll Always Be My Baby (Written for Daughters’ Weddings)” and his chart-topping country hit, “Drive (For Daddy Gene).” “I wrote the song for Mattie’s wedding the summer of 2017, but it was so hard to do.

I told ’em, ‘I wrote this for all of you,’” the country superstar recently shared, referencing his three daughters, Mattie, Ali, and Dani.Jackson is set to release his much-anticipated new album, Where Have You Gone, on Friday, May 14.

The show opener featured the live debut of Elle King and Miranda Lambert’s duet, “Drunk (And I Don’t Want To Go Home).”Co-hosted by Keith Urban and Mickey Guyton, the 2021 ACM Awards took place in Music City for the second consecutive year.

The three-hour awards show took place at three iconic Nashville venues, including Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe.
