The news comes days after WrestleMania 37.
Both Samoa Joe and Billie Kay were major parts of that show, as Joe was one of the commentators for both days while Billie Kay tagged with Carmella in the Tag Team Turmoil match on night one.
It was announced on Monday that Joe had been taken off of the commentary table and was going to be a part of the WWE talent roster moving forward.
Peyton Royce’s last match with the company came on the March 22 edition of Raw, where she lost to Raw Women’s Champion Asuka.
The match had come about based on her comments on Raw Talk, where she demanded an opportunity that she was not getting.
Mickie James’ last appearance for the company was on the NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver pre-shows, where she commentated the match between Toni Storm and Zoey Stark, as well as gave her analysis of the NXT Women’s Championship match between Io Shirai and Raquel Gonzalez.
Kalisto and Tucker both competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on WrestleMania SmackDown.
Wesley Blake has not competed since Money in the Bank in 2020, while Bo Dallas hasn’t competed since 2019.

CM Punk has addressed today's WWE releases in a Twitter exchange with Samoa Joe
The Samoan Submission Machine was shockingly let go by the company
BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
CM Punk has addressed today’s WWE releases in a Twitter exchange with Samoa Joe.
The Samoan Submission Machine was shockingly let go by the company on Wednesday along with the likes of Mickie James, Chelsea Green and IIconics duo Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.
Joe tweeted: ‘They really should of never gave me money.’
Punk replied: ‘F***ed up and paid us.’
Announcing the releases, WWE said in a statement: ‘WWE has come to terms on the release of Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake as of today April 15, 2021.
‘We wish them the best in all of their future endeavours.’
The release of Joe is particularly surprising after the star appeared on commentary during WrestleMania 37 last weekend.
After the event, WWE announced Joe and Tom Phillips had been replaced on the Raw commentary team with Byron Saxton now joined by Corey Graves and newcomer Adnan Virk.
They said at the time that Phillips would be shifting his focus to hosting 205 Live and overseeing ‘special projects for WWE’s programming on Peacock’ – which presumably includes the WWE Network outside the US – as well as working at the Performance Center in Orlando.
He will also keep busy and continue his role as Senior Manager, On Air Talent.
In Joe’s case, they had said he ‘remains part of the WWE talent roster’, only to confirm his release days later.
Plenty of fans have been left stunned by the decision, and Renee Paquette – best known to WWE fans as Renee Young – was similarly baffled.
She tweeted: ‘How do you drop the ball on SAMOA JOE?!?!? How?! Injuries aside, what a mistake.’

Paquette spoke to Punk last year, and asked him if he’d come out of retirement to face Joe, which he admitted was appealing.
However, he said at the time: ‘I feel like a s***bag even saying that s**t-ton of money thing… On the WWE side of things, let’s be honest, we got ****.
There’s baggage, right?
‘There’s stuff that’s got to be worked through.
So I don’t know how you get there.
I really don’t.
I understand Roman’s doing awesome things now, which is great, but – outside of him – what’s the interesting thing I could do there?’
