The American company

Google

revealed that it is currently testing a new feature called

Memory

, which is an update to

Google Assistant

.

The new

memory

feature is a combination of a

to-do list

, a

notes

application, a pocket-like reading list, and a Pinterest-style grouping pad inside a comprehensive digital locker built into Google, according to 9to5google.

With the

Memory

feature, a large variety of content can be saved, including

articles, books, contacts, events, flights, hotels, photos, movies, music, notes, photos, places, playlists, products, recipes, reminders, restaurants, screenshots, shipments, TV shows, videos, and websites.

It is worth noting that the new feature is able to save almost anything, including website links, static screenshots, pictures of objects, handwritten notes, digital to-do lists or reminders, and then

Memory

will allow you to search for everything.

You save it, categorize it, and visit it again, so it outperforms Google Assistant.

In order for users to store things in

Memory

, they can either give a voice command to the

Google Assistant

, or by using the newly added main screen shortcut, and once added, the saved items can be distinguished (with categories such as

Important

or

Read later

), in addition to To sort it or search for it to find a specific item.

The

Memory

feature is still being tested, and Google has not announced any plans it has regarding when it will be launched or whether it will be offered to consumers.

A Google spokesman told The Verge,

We are constantly repeating and trying new ways to improve the user experience, but we don’t have more details to share at this time.
