The activities of the next day of the Luxor Festival for African Cinema, in its tenth session, witnessed the signing of an agreement that is the first of its kind through a cooperation protocol under the title “Cinema Tech”, which includes the agreement from the Egyptian and international side and serves the African continent, which is a major goalThe African side represents filmmaker Adly Touma, president of “Gemini Africa”, and on the other side, cinematic producer Rainelle Speight, a representative of “Global Media”, who expressed her happiness with this merger between the two companies within a framework of mutual cinematic cooperation to effect change on the ground, with the aim of making An informational and cooperative network of filmmakers that is able to partner with other international networksFor his part, Touma stressed the importance of this cooperation for young African and Egyptian filmmakers, pointing to the launch of cooperation from an important festival such as the Luxor Festival on African Cinema, and from the heart of the festival’s ten-year cycle, stressing that the application is the first Arab application for such cooperation.

The program aims to develop the film industry in Africa in general, and Sudan will be the starting pointThe tenth session includes 4 competitions and the jury consists of Ismail Foroughi, director from Morocco, director Saeed Hamed from Sudan and Egypt, and Safi El Din Mahmoud, producer from Egypt.

The Diaspora jury is made up of Kanlee Avolian, a Nigerian director, Jimmy John Lowe, an American actor, and Magdy Ahmed Ali, a director from Egypt.

The short films competition jury is made up of Talal Afifi, producer, Salam Zamaleghiri, director from Burkina Faso, and Heba Othman Monteira from Egypt.
