Dillian Whyte

"The first fight was a good fight, we both fought well, I knocked him down a couple of times and he came back to win – he landed a good punch.

I’m glad that he took the rematch, I’m glad we're here again.

"This is the most important fight of my career.

Like I said this is boxing, I've been through ups and downs my whole life so I’m using to bouncing back, proving people wrong, showing people what I can when they've written me off.

"I’m good.

People talking about the defeat, it’s nothing.

I’m doing something, changing my life and I’m constantly improving.

Povetkin's a good fighter, top amateur, gold medallist, but I’m learning, improving and getting better every day.

I'm going to leave it all on the line once again.

"The main thing is the win; I’m a competitor and I hate losing so I want to make it 1-1.

I’ll get the win whatever, you’ve seen me adapt in different fight – getting off the floor and winning, out jabbed fighters that faster than me.

My coaching team has worked hard on different plans and working different areas."

Alexander Povetkin

"I'm very happy to be here, I'm relaxed, confident and the only thing on my mind right now is to go out and show some good boxing.

"I've almost forgotten about the last fight because this is finished.

I think that Dillian will be better in the second fight then the first.

At the same time, I'll try to be more careful, pay attention more to my defence.

"I don't have this mindset that I'll knock him out.

It could go the distance; I'm not focusing on the knockout and I'm going to follow my plan."

What time will the fight start?

The main event will start between 10.30pm and 11pm with the first fight starting just after 7pm.

How to watch on TV and via live stream

The fights will be shown on BT Sport 1 from 7pm.

The bouts can also be streamed using the BT Sport app on your computer or mobile device, if you are a BT Sport customer.

Who is on the undercard?

Lennox Clarke

"It is a massive jump for him.

He is a good fighter and he's got belief in himself.

"Personally, I think it is a little too early for him because it is a massive step-up, but you can't knock the kid.

We’ll see on the night because talk is cheap.

We're both ready, it is going to be a hell of a fight and I am excited."

Willy Hutchinson

"It is a good fight, I am not debating that and that this fella isn't coming to win.

Of course he is coming to win.

"I am looking for the best of what he is going to bring and it will be a good fight, I am ready to rock n roll! I can't really call him anything because I have heard good things about him.

He can fight and so can I, so I can only say there is going to be fireworks on the night."

Dillian Whyte knows it’s sink or swim time in the heavyweight division as he prepares to avenge his devastating knockout defeat to Alexander Povetkin last August in Gibraltar.

The Body Snatcher had the Russian veteran down twice in the fourth round at Matchroom Boxing’s Fight Camp before a stunning uppercut knocked him cold in the fifth to wipe his WBC mandatory shot from beneath his feet.

The rematch clause was triggered immediately and the second fight looked set to take place in November.

However, Povetkin then tested positive for COVID-19 back home in Russia and the bout was postponed.

It was then pencilled in for January but Povetkin struggled to recover from the effects of coronavirus before the rematch was eventually finalised for March 27 in Gibraltar.

Whoever prevails will take home the WBC interim heavyweight title and diamond belt, while withholding the right to fight the winner of Tyson Fury’s versus Anthony Joshua.

The undercard is also stacked with a number of cracking fights as Eddie Hearn serves up yet another blockbuster bill.
