Mark Labbett has made headlines over the last couple of months after showing off his slimmer physique.
The Chaser has always been very open about his weight loss struggles and recently spoke to ITV’s Loose Women about how he has managed to keep off the weight.
Speaking to panellists Kaye Adams, Stacey Solomon and Linda Robson, the ITV quizzer explained to viewers how he lost a whopping 10 stone.
When he was at his heaviest, Mark revealed he weighed a whopping 29 stone.
He explained: “I gradually dropped X’s off my size, 5XL to 4XL and it looks like the next time I go shopping, I’ll be able to squeeze into XL pants.
“Small things, but important things.

“I was 29 stone in my last year as a full time teacher in 2003, and I was on the verge of getting high blood pressure pills, I’ve been mainly at about 25 or 26 up until probably just before the lockdown, and then a few things happened quite nicely and came together and the weight’s just fallen off.”
Asking how he’s achieved such a huge transformation, the 55-year-old said: “I’m on a high protein diet with the good people at Muscle Food so eating an awful lot of lean meat and much as I love chips and other carbs, I am having quite a bit less than I used to.
“I’m not feeling that hungry so you eat less so you lose weight so you’re not as hungry.
“I’m not a drinker but sugar has always been my downfall.
A good friend of mine who had the gastric band said it won’t do any good for me as I get all my calories by sugar, and it’s too easy to digest.

Weight loss: Hunger can be mistaken for thirst – how to drink more [EXPLAINER]
“I still have sugar but an awful lot less, I should have less still.”
According to Healthline, replacing carbs and fat with protein can help slimmers to reduce the hunger hormone and boost several satiety hormones.
The website said: “This leaders to a major reduction in hunger and is the main reason protein helps you lose weight.
It can make you eat fewer calories automatically.”
Cutting down on sugar is also a huge help when it comes to shedding the pounds.
The NHS advises that added sugars, such as table sugar, honey and syrups should not make up more than five percent of the energy you get from food and drink each day.
This equates to just 30g a day for anyone over the age of 11.
For comparison, a can of 330ml Coca Cola contains a staggering 35g of sugar which is around nine teaspoons.
Regularly indulging in foods high in added sugars can cause you to gain excess body fat very quickly which is often very hard to lose, even with exercising.
The Chase star has also been keeping his social media followers up to date with his progress.
Sharing before and after photos last month, Mark wrote: “Very proud of my progress since following my @mfgoalgettersuk plan.
“Every week food delivered to my door, it couldn’t be any easier!”
Mark credits Muscle Food UK’s Goal Getters meal plan with his weight loss.
In January, he wrote on Instagram: “Leaner, meaner lockdown with good folks of Muscle Foods.
At this rate I will be the skinniest Chaser.”
His weight loss also hasn’t gone unnoticed by his fans.
Commenting on his photo, one person said: “Omg, you look amazing, so much healthier!”
Another wrote: “Wow, you’re inspirational, look at you!”

The Chase fans were left in a state of disbelief after watching an episode of the show this week.
The beloved ITV quiz show usually offers up a weekly dose of suspense and surprise but the performance of the ‘best ever’ player might just be top of the list.
The midweek edition of the quiz show saw one woman single-handedly destroy one of the longest-serving chasers without breaking a sweat.
Viewers were left speechless whilst watching the demolition, but soon found their words as again as they took to Twitter to celebrate the big win and make a special request, reports Birmingham Live.
Fans are convinced that Ali should be named as the show's newest chaser after her convincing defeat of Mark Labbett.
Mark, who is also known as The Beast, has been a regular on the show since it began in 2009 and as his name would suggest he has built up a formidable reputation for easily beating his opponents.
However, this time it was him who was defeated with ease.
The 51-year-old contestant had lost the other three members of her team after they had all been beaten by Mark in the earlier rounds and was forced to face The Beast on her own.

To the shock of host Bradley Walsh and the viewers at home, Ali was able to get the job done by racking up an impressive score of 19 in the Final Chase round.
Her opponent Mark stumbled on a question about romantic poetry and left the door wide open for the contestant to swoop in.
It meant that Ali was able to collect a whopping £5k in winnings and possible and the ever-lasting admiration of fans across the country.
One user Tweeted: "Best I've seen in the chase well done Ali"
Another user was even inspired to apply for the show themselves, in the hope that they would have a chance of landing a team member like Ali and have a strong chance of taking some money home.
For some viewers the excitement was all too much as they were moved to tears by Ali's exceptional display.
They tweeted: "Ali on the chase [smiley face emoji] bless her and well done I shed a tear at the end."
The episode – which was a repeat broadcast -even saw the chaser eat a slice of humble pie.
Mark admitted: "You put me under pressure.
Ali even got a hug from Bradley Walsh after the big win and The Beast told Bradley to 'give her a hug from him'.
Every weeknight, Bradley hosts the show at 5pm on ITV1 – with episodes also broadcast on Saturday evenings too.
The former Coronation Street star and Doctor Who actor welcomes four new contestants onto the show each evening.
Labbett is one of just six Chasers used by the show.
The others include; Paul Sinha (also known as the Sinnerman), Shaun Wallace (also known as the Dark Destroyer), Jenny Ryan (also known as the Vixen), Anne Hegerty (also known as the Governess) and newcomer Darragh Ennis.
