Craig Eddie has been crowned the winner of The Voice UK 2021.

The singer broke down as he was announced to have won the show by host Emma Willis during the live final on Saturday night.

A tense final saw Okulaja, Grace Holden, Craig and Hannah Williams battle it out for one last time.

Their coaches Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and Anne-Marie did everything in the power to help their act become champion.

Each coach even performed with their finale act, in some incredible musical moments on the show.

Towards the end of the show, Emma announced the top two singers who would be performing again – with one of them going on to win the show.

Grace and Craig were the top two, meaning Okulaja and Hannah unfortunately missed out on the final vote.

The pair performed for a second time, this time sharing their winner's song that they would release if they were crowned champion.

But in the end it was Craig who won the vote from the nation watching at home, and became the latest winner.

Viewers had worried he might not get enough votes given how quickly the final vote ended after his performance, but he still secured enough to win.

As Emma announced the result live from Elstree where the show was filmed, there were cheers and emotions all round.

Craig was initially speechless before admitting he was not expecting the victory.

As Emma spoke to him, he began crying clearly overwhelmed – as his mentor Anne-Marie cheered him on.

During the show the coaches had performed together for one final time, before viewers were treated to a comeback.

Last year's champ Blessing Chitapa came back to show the contestants how it was done, with a performance of her new single.

The Voice UK is available to watch on ITV Hub.

BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Craig Eddie has been named the winner of The Voice 2021 after a gripping final.

The singer beat Okulaja, Hannah Williams and Grace Holden on the way to being crowned champion in Saturday’s final.

Judges Tom Jones, will.i.am, Olly Murs and Anne-Marie were all hoping one of their remaining stars would come out on top, but it was Anne-Marie’s contestant Craig who won the public vote – marking a win for the judge in her first year on the show.

‘I’m shocked, honestly,’ Craig said.

‘Thank you everyone.

Thank you to Scotland.

Thank you to anyone who voted.

‘Thank you Anne-Marie for believing in me and taking me to this point.’

Host Emma Willis introduced the singers for the final time on the series earlier in the show, with Grace beginning proceedings by performing Lewis Capaldi’s Before You Go.

Hannah then performed Celeste’s Little Runaway, before Okulaja’s take on Chasing Stars by One Republic and Craig’s version of James Arthur’s Train Wreck.

Next came the duets, with Grace and Olly singing Take That’s Rule the World.

Okulaja and Will performed Black Eyed Peas’ Where is the Love?.

Craig and Anne-Marie then sang Don’t Speak by No Doubt together.

Hannah and Tom then took to the stage to sing Bee Gees’ To Love Somebody.

Following the public vote, Grace and Craig were announced as the final two, meaning that Okulaja and Hannah were sent home.
